How we gradeInspector’s condition notes

Internal components are tight and solid, with no loose internal movement or rattling. The exterior body shows signs of use, with visible scratch and paint loss throughout the lens body.
How this lens renders
The Pentax Takumar 7 Elements 50mm f/1.4 is renowned for its strong bokeh, which excels in blurring backgrounds smoothly at close focus without introducing swirl or bubble effects. Compared with a typical fast fifty of its era, this lens also stands out for its sharpness, enhanced by a radioactive rear element in later versions. The Super-Multi-Coated versions provide improved contrast and considerably reduce flare, a common issue in earlier, less-coated iterations. Shooters appreciate the combination of high contrast and sharpness, although the propensity for flare remains a notable limitation in non-SMC versions.
