Lens in like-new condition — serious 1:2 macro (1:1 with an extension tube). Optical elements are pristine with no scratches. Focus and aperture turn as smoothly as a new lens. Internal components are snug, with no internal movement or rattle. The exterior body looks like new, but there are a few paint chips or 2–3 scratches around the lens body edges or around the focus ring and aperture ring (you have to look closely to notice them).

How this lens renders

Compared to a lens [2] of the same specs that's a standard normal focal length lens, what sets this one apart is being a macro lens — purpose-built for close-up work. It delivers a shorter minimum focus distance than a regular lens [3], so it captures the fine details of small subjects at close range beautifully. At [0], the aperture is well-suited to macro work, giving you nimble control over depth of field. When shooting close-up wide open, the thin plane of focus helps melt the background and make your subject pop. If you want the whole frame sharp, simply stop down to [1]. Being a manual focus lens, it pairs comfortably with mirrorless cameras through an adapter. It's a great match for anyone who enjoys macro photography — flowers, insects, or small collectibles — and it also doubles as a normal focal length walkaround lens in a single body.
