This lens is in excellent optical and mechanical condition, ensuring flawless image quality and smooth, precise operation of both focus and aperture. Cosmetically, it is very good, displaying only minor handling wear. The finish remains intact with crisp rubber grips and markings, though there is slight edge wear on the front rim and light marks on the rear mount typical of gentle use.

The Focal 28mm f/2.8 lens is a classic example of a vintage consumer wide-angle prime with a distinctly utilitarian character. While it delivers good contrast despite its softness, the lens is notably soft wide open at f/2.8, requiring it to be stopped down to f/5.6 for sharper results.
