The exterior of this lens is in like-new condition. There are only 1–2 cleaning marks (you have to look closely to spot them) — barely visible at a quick glance. Very lightly used overall. The Optical elements, both front and rear, are in excellent condition with no scratches, no haze, and no fungus. The focus ring turns smoothly, and the aperture ring operates as it should.
How this lens renders
The Canon FL 50mm f/1.4 has a classic rendering style, offering a slightly soft but pleasing character wide open, sharpening up nicely as you stop down. Its bokeh is smooth and creamy, especially when capturing portraits, isolating subjects beautifully against a softly blurred background.
