How we gradeInspector’s condition notes
Lens in like-new condition. Optical elements are pristine with no scratches. Focus and aperture operate as smoothly as a brand-new lens. Internal components are solid with no internal rattle. The exterior body is in like-new condition, but there are 2-3 small spots of paint loss or scratches along the lens barrel edges or on the focus ring and aperture ring (you have to look closely to spot them).
How this lens renders
Compared with the similarly-specced 80mm lens, this Fujinon positions itself in the normal to short telephoto range, with a maximum aperture of f/3.8. It favors image balance over shooting wide open for maximum background separation. Wide open at f/3.8, center sharpness is perfectly usable. Stopped down to f/5.6, detail rendering tightens up across the frame, and at f/8 you get edge-to-edge sharpness—ideal for work that demands full sharpness. The bokeh has a smooth, easy-to-control character. Background separation works well when you get close to the subject and leave reasonable distance behind it. Tonal rendering is soft and gentle, and the lens holds highlight detail nicely, giving you flexibility for color grading in post. With its straightforward personality and easy handling, this lens suits anyone looking for a 80mm focal length for portraits and general work on a mirrorless body. It's another manual focus lens that holds up well for everyday use.

Honest disclosure
Fuji 80-200mm f3.8
A purported 80-200mm f/3.8 zoom in Fujifilm X mount; the supplied review evidence actually covers a different lens (Fujinon XF 80mm f/2.8 Macro prime), so its heritage, character, and reputation remain unverified.
