Inspector’s condition notes

Like-new condition lens. Another rare model from Fuji. Optical elements are pristine, no scratches. Focus and aperture operate as smoothly as a new lens. Internal components are tight and solid, with no internal movement or rattle. The exterior body is in like-new condition, but has 2-3 small paint chips or scratches around the lens body edges, the focus ring, and the aperture ring (you have to look closely to notice them).

How this lens renders

The 28mm f/2.8 is one of the most genuinely usable wide-angle focal lengths in the manual focus lens lineup. It's not so wide that the proportions get distorted like the 24mm, but it gives a natural perspective — great for street, landscape, and travel shooting where one lens is all you need to carry. At aperture f/2.8, you can still get some subject-to-background separation at close range, and it gathers light reasonably well in dim conditions. For landscapes or any scene where you want edge-to-edge sharpness, I'd recommend stopping down to around f/8 for a deeper depth of field and more consistent detail across the frame. The lens is compact and lightweight, and paired with a mirrorless body with focus peaking, focusing is both enjoyable and precise. It's a portable wide-angle that truly suits everyday walk-around shooting — a practical carry-everywhere lens that makes it easy to find the moment.
