Lens in like-new condition. The Optical is flawless, free from scratches. Focus and aperture glide as smoothly as a new lens. Internal components are tight, with no internal play or rattling sounds. The exterior is in like-new condition, but there are 2–3 spots of paint loss or scratches around the lens barrel edges or on the focus ring and aperture ring (you have to look closely to see them).
How this lens renders
The Canon FL 50mm f/1.4 has a classic rendering style, offering a slightly soft but pleasing character wide open, sharpening up nicely as you stop down. Its bokeh is smooth and creamy, especially when capturing portraits, isolating subjects beautifully against a softly blurred background.
