Lens in like-new condition — another flagship from the Soligor C/D lineup. Sharp with vibrant color rendition, and it even offers 1:4.5 macro, enough for shooting larger flowers. The Optical is pristine, free of scratch. Focus and aperture glide smoothly like a new lens; the internal components are tight, with no shifting or rattling inside. The exterior body is essentially like-new, though there are 2–3 small spots of paint loss or scratch along the barrel edge or around the focus ring and aperture ring (you'd have to look closely to spot them).
How this lens renders
Compared to the 28mm with the same specs, this Soligor is a wide-angle vintage lens in the travel range, offering a usable field of view on mirrorless cameras. Wide open at f/2.8, it delivers decent center sharpness; the edges are still a bit soft. Stop down to f/4–f/5.6 and sharpness tightens up across the frame, and by f/8 you'll get the most settled sharpness and contrast — well-suited for landscapes and architecture. With a focal length of 28mm f/2.8, background separation won't be as strong as with a telephoto lens, but shooting up close you can still pull the subject away from the background nicely, in classic vintage lens fashion. The color tone leans filmic, contrast isn't aggressive, and it stays flexible when you grade afterward. If you're shooting into backlight and want to avoid flare, I'd recommend putting on a lens hood. A genuinely usable entry-level wide-angle lens — solid value for anyone wanting to try the manual focus route on a digital camera.
