The Olympus Zuiko 35mm f/2 is a compact fast wide that delivers the 35mm experience in a small package. Sharp, well-built, and with pleasant rendering.
Verdict: Excellent compact 35mm f/2 with Olympus quality.
Described by one owner as quite smooth, both adapted and on film; heritage source calls it pleasant at f/2.
Neutral.
Heritage source says sharp/very good, but community discussion speculates it is probably softer wide open than the f/2.8 and better stopped down to f/2.8.
Well-controlled.
Good.
Present wide open.

Excellent compact 35mm f/2 with Olympus quality.
Buy this lens if you want a compact, fast 35mm for the Olympus OM system and you value smooth bokeh and character over clinical sharpness — one devoted owner chose it over the cheaper f/2.8 precisely for how it renders. Do not buy it if you need razor-sharp results wide open or if budget is a priority, since the f/2.8 delivers much of the experience for a fraction of the price and modern native lenses will out-resolve both.
